ARCHITECTURE

Urban Studio Architects, Tampa, announced these appointments: John Langley and Shaun Luttrell, project managers in architecture; Nicole Sayers, interior designer; Cara Castle, interiors project manager; Kelly Cantara, interior design resource librarian; and Katherine Gibson, marketing and administration coordinator. Langley was a project manager for Atelier Architects, Tampa; Luttrell was a project leader for Beck, Tampa; Sayers was a staff designer for Kelly Taaffee Design, Tampa; Castle was an independent designer; Cantara was a job captain for Ritter, Miga & Associates, Sarasota; and Gibson was a freelance art consultant, Tampa.

BROADCASTING

Jay Johnson has joined Moody Broadcasting Network's WKES-91.1 FM. Johnson will co-host the New Day morning show. He was director of Radio Broadcasting for Precept Ministries International, Chattanooga, Tenn.

CONSTRUCTION SUPPORT

Brian Hutchings has been named public information officer for Quest Corp. of America, Tampa. Hutchings was marketing manager for Bay Area Commuter Service Transportation Agency, Tampa.

ENGINEERING

Edward R. Balchon has been promoted to vice president of Malcolm Pirnie Inc., Tampa. Balchon was a senior associate.

FINANCIAL

Joseph M. DeCato has been named vice president and commercial lender for Terrace Bank, Tampa. DeCato was vice president, senior business banker for SouthTrust Bank, Tampa.

Gail Wean has been named the 2003-04 Business Person of Year by the Future Business Leaders of America. Wean is senior vice president and chief financial officer for MacDill Federal Credit Union, Tampa.

HEALTH CARE

Patt Reed has been named marketing director for Allied EyeCare Inc., Clearwater. Reed was marketing manager for UnitedHealthcare Tampa.

Dr. John B. Tourtelot has been named an endocrinologist for Morton Plant Hospital's Joslin Center for Diabetes, Clearwater. Tourtelot was senior medical officer for the Naval Clinic in Patuxent River, Md., and was an assistant professor of medicine at Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, Bethesda, Md.

LEGAL

Ryan D. Barack has been named a shareholder with the law firm of Kwall, Showers & Coleman, Clearwater. Barack practices in the areas employement related disputes and was an associate with the law firm of Zinober & McCrea, Tampa.

MANUFACTURING

David Fletcher has been named president and a member of the board of directors for Film Technologies International Inc., St. Petersburg. Fletcher was president of Bekaert Specialty Films, San Diego.

RETAIL

James "Bo" Morgan Jr. has been named president and chief executive of Tampa Honda Land. Morgan was executive sales manager at Jim Rathmann Chevrolet, Melbourne.

TECHNOLOGY

Tech Data Corp., Clearwater, announced these promotions and appointments: Jeffrey R. Baker, vice president of corporate accounting; Joel Davis, vice president of eastern U.S. and government sales and services; and W. David Francis, vice president of human resources, Europe. Baker was director of corporate accounting for Tech Data; Davis was founder and vice president of sales of BusinessLaunch Inc., Brentwood, Calif.; and Francis was director of human resources for Tech Data.
