ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Ninety percent of the students plan to attend college, and the class as a whole has received more than $1-million in state and local scholarships, not including awards from colleges.

SCENES AND SIGHTS: Speakers had a hard time holding onto to their notes thanks to a brisk breeze. A few graduates spoke to their families during the ceremony via cell phones. And all of the grads gave the principal a symbolic "piece of their hearts," dropping satin hearts into a wicker basket for her during the presentation of diplomas.
A KODAK MOMENT: Decked in a brand new razorback costume, the mascot marched onto the field and struck a victory pose.
CLASS GIFT: A razorback mascot costume for the school and a made-to-order personalized stuffed pig, just for Thornton.
