Cross Bayou wins 6-4, forces decisive finale

The District 5 All-Stars Tournament continued Monday with several divisions in elimination play. In the inaugural year for the 11-Year-Old baseball division, Cross Bayou forced a decisive final game tonight after defeating Northeast 6-4.

Tonight's game will begin at 8 p.m. and will be played in Gulfport.

MINOR BASEBALL: Gulf Beaches and Northeast stayed alive with wins on Monday. Gulf Beaches defeated Cross Bayou No. 1 3-1, while Pinellas Park National was shutout 6-0 by Northeast.

MINOR SOFTBALL: Meadowlawn advanced in the loser's bracket by eliminating Gulfport 21-20. Meadowlawn will play Northeast tonight at 6 p.m. in Gulfport for a chance to play in the championship game. Over the weekend, Jenny Sittloh tossed a one-hitter with eight strikeouts in Seminole's 20-4 win over Cross Bayou. Sami Wilkerson had four hits in Northeast's 30-10 win over Gulfport.
