Hot ticket: Gearing up for a music pilgrimage

The SXSW Music Lovers Group is at it again this year, hosting Cash for Cash II to raise funds to send a handful of Tampa Bay area bands to Austin, Texas, this spring for an unofficial South by Southwest showcase.

For the third year, the group will host a bevy of benefits in the months before the SXSW. Saturday's Cash for Cash II finds 14 area acts from various genres performing their renditions of the Man in Black's tunes. Here's the lineup:

7 p.m. Freight Train Annie (blues and boogie woogie)

7:20 p.m. Parson Brown (folk rock)

7:40 p.m. Susy Martian (funky pop)

8 p.m. Happy & Patty (duo from the Crabgrass Cowboys; country and bluegrass)

8:20 p.m. Irritable Tribe of Poets (spoken word and jazz improvisation)

8:40 p.m. Squirrels Gone Wild (adolescent rock)

9 p.m. Sparky's Nightmare (pop rock)

9:20 p.m Say It Again Lucas (pop)

9:40 p.m. Doc Lovett and the Blues Punks (bluesy rock)

10 p.m. Ronny Elliott & the Nationals (alt-country)

10:20 p.m. Can't Do It (silly ska)

10:40 p.m. Cold Joon (world beat)

11 p.m. Auditorium (arty rock)

11:20 p.m. Sound Chemist (funk)
