Floridians get used to seeing beautiful birds all over the place. So it isn't surprising that exotic pet birds are so popular here. The SunCoast Avian Society will fill St. Petersburg's Coliseum this weekend with birds from budgies to macaws, lovebirds to cockatiels, and just about every conceivable accessory for birds and those who admire them. There will be competitions and more than 60 vendors. You can even bring your own bird along to show off, provided it's in a cage. The 30th annual SunCoast Avian Society's Exotic & Pet Bird Show, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Coliseum, 535 Fourth Ave. N, St. Petersburg. $4, $3 seniors, under age 12 free. 727 726-6864; or www.suncoastaviansociety.org
