Hot Ticket: More Max at the Arts Center

Peter Max is back!

The artist who became a cult phenomenon in the 1960s participated in a recent fundraiser to benefit local arts organizations and returns for a followup. Max has appearances Friday, Saturday and Sunday and is bringing new works, such as Umbrella Man, that will be for sale at the Arts Center, 719 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. Profits will be donated to the center, the Museum of Fine Arts and Soulful Arts Dance Academy. The group includes paintings, limited edition prints and posters priced from $1,500 to $75,000.

Max will be at the Arts Center from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday. All events are free. For more information, call (727) 822-7872.
